Gardai Respond to Firearm Incident in Dublin, Suspects in Custody

DUBLIN, Ireland - Gardai at Kevin Street have arrested two men and recovered a shotgun following reports of gunfire in the Vincent Street South area of Dublin 8 on Saturday.

The incident unfolded at approximately 11:30 am Saturday morning when gardai responded to reports of a firearm being discharged. In response, multiple armed units, including members of the Armed Support Unit (ASU) and local detectives, were swiftly deployed to the scene.

A coordinated search of several residential properties led to the recovery of a shotgun, and two suspects, both men in their 20s and 30s, were taken into custody.

The two individuals are currently being held at a Garda station in the Dublin Region as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
