2.5 million euro worth of cocaine seized by Revenue Officers at port

CO WEXFORD, Ireland - A man arrested following a dramatic raid at the Rosslare Europort has since been charged and appeared before a special sitting of Kilkenny District Court on Saturday night.

The court appearance follows a joint operation by Gardai and Revenue Officers which targeted a truck which came off a ferry at the Rosslare Europort in County Wexford on Friday morning.

Revenue Officers discovered and seized cocaine with an estimated value of more than 2.5 Million in the search. The haul weighed 36kg.

The man arrested, who is now before the courts, and who is aged in his 50s, is being detained at a Garda station in County Wexford.

Officers involved in the operation say their investigations are ongoing.
